A great success for the 2006 International Steel Rolling Congress in Paris

Around 540 people coming from more than 40 countries attended the 9^th International Steel Rolling Congress (coupled with the 4^th European Steel Rolling Congress).
The 24 sessions took place in the CNIT Paris La Défense from 19^th to 21^st of June. The opening session was this occasion to have an overview of the history and present worldwide development of rolling technologies. The 120 presentations (chosen from more than 230 proposals) have been considered as high level in the different domains, i.e. hot and cold rolling of flat products, heavy plates, stainless steels and metallurgy and long products.
All the participants enjoyed the gala dinner in Grand'maisons near Versailles and it has left a very good memory of hunt horn, musicians, magicians mixed in a friendly and convivial atmosphere.
After the congress a part of the attendees took part in the 3 proposed plant tours to Arcelor Florange (cold rolling of flat products), Arcelor Belval (hot rolling of long product) and TKS Duisburg (hot and cold rolling of flat products). These 3 plant tours were very well appreciated.
The ATS team has received many congratulations from the participants for the organization considered as an excellent one. See you in 2009 in United Kingdom for the 5^th European Steel Rolling Congress and in 2010 for the 10^th International Steel Rolling Congress in China.
